Description:
The photogragh i have placed on my profile page was taken approx 10 years ago, i am pictured with the best dog we have ever owned, the only dog actually, since we bought him at an 'RSPCA' kennels in Newport Gwent just after we were married in 1987. My wife and i have three Children and Tigre the dog in the photo' is long gone but never forgotten, long live our Canine friends.
We all went to Ogmore-by-sea on friday, arrived at approx' 1.45pm, it's one of our favourite places to visit winter or summer, the only problem was, five minutes after we got there the 'fog' rolled in from every direction, couldn't see a thing for ten yards and the sea and river had completly disappeared, never seen it like that before the kids had a fantastic time, getting soaked by the tide and we found some fascinating 'rocks' and 'stones'. I took some photo's that i hope came out alright, i'll check and see and maybe place one or two here
All the best

How early do you get up from bed
How early do you rise
Before the Sun, after the Sun
Before the brightened skies
Do you lay in the sack, til noon time
Then stretch and say oh, hey!
Did i miss it again
That glorious break of day.

I also enjoy 'Wood Turning' such as the one in the picture. I turn, wooden Pool/Snooker table legs aswell (as long as i have a drawing to work to). My speciality Wood Turned Garden Post Tops are a prize to see and own, (at the right price) i can turn as many Post top features as the number of posts that line your garden (Perimeter, boundary, Paddock fence, Castle wall etc..).
In all honesty, where do teenagers want to go with the disrespect bit. Are they all cast out of one mind bending, do the parents heads in, mould. Unless you shower them with loads of money, Gifts, Cars and expensive holidays abroad, your destiny is set in motion, (not just stool movements, due to pressure) like the crazy fast paced animated cartoons with over-the-top sound effects they put out and can't go without, that they must have a daily dose of, from 4 until 16, "whatever you do, don't set a reminder for one of the programs that you want to watch, because in between the Nin' DS and going out in the street, we don't count, unless the 'icecream' van rings out his little 'ditty' or 'mums' off up the shop, then they'l tag along waving their tails behind them, in the hope of getting 10 million pic-a-mix for what's left in mums purse.
Well here we are March the 11th, Spring has almost sprung
there is no doubt as to what has been going on, in all those 'Fields' and 'Trees' up and down 'Britain'. Newly born 'Animals' and 'Birds', 'Fish' and 'Reptiles'.
A friend of my 'Son' came to the house 'Thursday' last cradling a bird, his 'Uncle' had found down the Park. It was a young un' we had kept it for 5 days, until it proved itself (after us thinking it couldn't) to fly from one room to the other, so i thought that it was time for the big release, we all went down to the Park yesterday and after a couple of attempts at the old flying lark, it managed to fly high up into a 'Tree'. I took a couple of photo's of it's final farewell, maybe we'll meet again, someday 'Signet' i decided to name it after a young 'Swan', even though it's black and a million fly overhead every morning.
Cycling is a wonderful way of staying Fit, an age old Healthy, enjoyable way of getting your timing in order. When you cycle, your using a Bellows effect with your legs in conjunction with your Diaphram and breathing, as one leg raises your other leg lowers on the 'Peddles' more or less the same as the 'Pistons'. connected to the 'Crank shaft' on your 'Car' as two raise to create compression and ignition, 2 lower for inlet of fuel..more to follow!
"What a diabolical liberty! someone nicked our 'Daffodils' from where i planted them a few years back, down over the Railway embankment. I wouldn't have minded them cutting a couple for a 'Vase' in the home, but they dug up all the bulbs aswell, what will they think of next, it would only cost them a fiver for a bag full at loads of places, such as B+Q etc.."What a Diabolical Liberty".
I love a cup of PG tips in the morning
Sometimes in the night
All through th day, really
On it's own at anytime
Especially when i'm having a bite,
Corn Flakes are a good deal (13 Apr 09)at Morrisons 89p down from £1.88
I planted three rows of Potatoes on my allotment plot yesterday, i think it's about right to do so, the risk of frost as past and we're well on our way to nicer weather, but don't get caught out, colds can still attack in the shady shadows, after all we're not into 'summer' yet, not until after May in a sense. A well known saying over here, meaning the British Isles is ~ "Ne'er caste a clout 'til May is out". Clout meaning 'Clothing' through from early 'Spring' up until 'Summer' (June). A lot of people get caught out every year, through wearing the flimsiest things to early. There's plenty of time to enjoy the 'Sun' through mid 'June', 'July' and 'August', sometimes 'September' can be quite hot, up until the third week, the plants we grow can put up with early 'Spring' cold and have a lot of staying power. Radishes' are easy to grow, you can sow the seeds at intervals of every couple of weeks to ensure a plentiful supply, from now up until 'August'.
